New Roof for the San Felipe Catholic Church, Santa Maria De Gudalupe
Ceiling and Roof Church Repair
Thank you to all of those who donated and made this possible! We raised $45,000 US Dollars and we were able to complete this roof and ceiling repair project.

Nuns' House Roof
In the spring of 2023 SMGF repaired the Nuns' House Roof from the hurricane damage that caved in the roof through their kitchen.
Main Parish Church Remodel
The main church has been in need of an upgrade for some time. The roof needs to be replaced, the sound system needs help, and most of all, we need more room! Currently, at most of the Masses, there are parishioners standing along the walls, and at many Masses, some are outside hoping to hear. We would like to see the church size increased to give room for all who would like to worship and have room to grow. Currently, there are 17 masses said weekly at this location. The new design would also include a place for the choir, confessionals, and a baptismal area.
Lord of Mercy Church
Using the existing foundation built by the parishioners several years ago from the sale of tamales, we built a modest church in the Los Arcos, San Felipe neighborhood. The new church has replaced the primitive tin roof open shelter that was used before. It has become the focal point for gatherings and a constant reminder to all that amid poverty and personal trials there is hope and a physical place to go and be refreshed. Christ said, "Come to Me, all who labor and are burdened, and I will refresh you." (Matthew 11:28)
